Ghost Rider
Ghost Riders are individuals who have bonded with a Spirit of Vengeance.
The spirits grant their hosts super-human abilities, but also drive them to punish evil-doers. Ghost Riders typically possess Super-Strength, a regenerative Healing Factor, an ability to sense the presence of magic or supernatural beings, the ability to summon and control Hellfire, the ability to 'soul read' individuals, and the 'Pennance Stare', the ability to force an individual to experience all the pain they have ever inflicted on other people.
The name Ghost Rider comes from the symbiotic relationship hosts of a Spirit of Vengeance share with their mounts. These mounts were originally animals, such as horses or elephants, who shared in some of their owners' abilities. However, as mechanised transport replaced animals, these powers began to transfer to vehicals or machines, such as Robbie Reyes's Car, or Bastet, an Android panther owned by Ghost Panther.
The original bond between a Spirit of Vengeance and their host must be entered into willingly, but cannot be broken if the host changes their mind in the future.
