KGB

The KGB was the main security agency of the Soviet Union, having responsibility for internal security, foreign intelligence and counter-intelligence, and opperating as the secret police.

It was a military agency, governed by Army laws and regulations. Despite having been dissolved in 1991, the majority of the KGB archives remain classified.


The KGB also oversaw the Red Room Super-Soldier programme.
