Agnar, the king of Eagles, was captured by the Mountain Giant Þrymr, who demanded Gullveig's hand in marriage as ransom.
Loki , Baldr , and Thor disguised themselves as Gullveig and two handmaidens (with Thor playing the part of the bride, since he could use the veil to hide his beard) in order to infiltrate the fortress of Þrymr.
Thor and Loki kept Þrymr talking while Baldr search the fortress for Agnar. After freeing him, Thor and Loki revealed the deception, and the four of them fought their way out.
