Nano-bots

Every Coalition Citizen have nano-bots in their bodies. They usually get some from their parents, through conception. Then they get booster injections for various purposes, throughout their lives.

Some Nano-bots act as an augmentation to the autoimmune system, others provide new knowledge, like language skills. At their coming of age, at 15, they get a booster injection that, among other things allows them to have shared lucid dreams with anyone else above the age of 15, who has had the same injection. If they join any branch of the Coalition Armed Forces, they get another booster injection, that contains Basic Training, if they're enlisted men, and in all cases, the nano-bots of the military injection assembles an electronic "dog tag" inside the body, that can't be surgically removed without killing the patient. If killed combat, on faraway planets their comrades can trigger Instant Decompose which makes the nano-bots break down the body to dust, in seconds, leaving only the dog tag, which is then brought back home to the family.

Access & Availability
Every Coalition Citizen has them from birth. Additional nano-bots can be injected, for various purposes.
Complexity
They're robots, small enough to go in and out of cells in the human body. They have a sophisticated CPU aboard, but all nano-bots don't know all functions. They're specialized, based on where in the body they function.
