Misty See Misty Do
The team get to do a shadow strike at both the Saxons & the Shadar-Kai / Bladed Pouch. All of this revolves around Tabaxi slaves being moved close to the Eschbach border to the east.
Plot points/Scenes
The team are visited in Eschbach by the Messanger from the Valley of the Black Ones. He informs them that his people have noticed a slave caravan passing by their holdings with a group of Tabaxi slaves in tow. The latter is making for an encampment of Saxons near the eastern border of Eschbach's holdings.
They can spy first and see that the Saxon camp is based just beyond the forested region on a meadow and defences appear stronger on the western side. The slavers are very close to it and within three odd miles of it, and made up of 6 Shadar-Kai & about 14 Tabaxi who are of different ages. The latter appear as if they are from somewhere south of Egypt by their style of dress. If Reolus is present he will recognize them as belonging to the same tribe he is from.
They can attack the Shadar-Kai first to free the slaves or wait till they are all together and attack both groups. There are 1 Saxon Theign & 20 Saxon Frydmen. Their camp is more fortified to the west and surrounded with a small defensive ditch and small spiked ramparts An entrance north & south are there. A large central tent is in the middle where the theign is and any meeting is to be held there.
The Shadar-Kai are led by a Soul Monger, and the rest are Gloom Weavers. There is the chance the team can reach them first before getting to the camp, though this will still create a response from the Saxons who will attack the team. If the Shadar-Kai are defeated, the Soul Monger will be found with a crystalline ball and if not first noticed the slaves will point it out. If approached or touched by Reolus, it will open a two way communication with the Master of the the Bladed Pouch who will taunt him by saying that he hoped he enjoyed her gift to him: his family - Misty Sea & Flawless Bite, and any brothers / sisters who are some of the slaves.
She'll taunt him further by saying it's good to get them together when she comes to collect them for their friend: the Warlord Negusu Semere (meaning: King Success) of the city of Axum. And he's looking for Misty Sea back.
The Tabaxi can be freed and either returned home, or took in to Eschbach where they can take up the professions they did before.
