Varkallin
Varkallin is a half-elven freelancing explorer and interpreter. Born in Parlucidens, close to the Deathlands Frontier, she has dedicated most of her career working for merchants and mayors around the other northern settlements of Greyhyx, adjudicating cultural misunderstandings between locals and foreign traders and taking part in the unending reclamation efforts. She served as the Advocate Liaison for Caerlin, Del'Gado, Imaros, Jacqualine, and Malgrim, but was arrested in a purge at Morrowfall Redoubt on the 17th of Chilling, 1304 AM. Sent to the Nightgaol, a secret prison in the Hinterlands, she was quickly rescued by special forces of the 55th Storm Division and the Twilight Advocates.
She met Jacqualine ten years ago as part of a merchant exploratory expedition to the Dartwick Forest. Whilst the expedition was a failure, much because fey tend to make for very unreliable business partners, the connections made were not. It was at Varkallin's request that she was nominated as the Advocates' liaison. After her rescue, she revealed to Jacqualine that she served as an agent of Kaedra. Indeed, she and a group of contractors were likely the first to make contact with the military outsiders at the beginning of the year.
