Shoulai Shika (Sh-ow-lie Shee-kuh)

The Killing Flower. A breed of Tarathuzhu that sprouts a sweet smelling flower bloom from its top when its ready to spread its seeds. The flower stem is very stiff and the animals the feed on it must rip the entire plant out with a violent motion that coats the creature in the seeds. The creature eats the flower and, now coated with seeds, moves on. When the flower is digested, its toxins are released and it kills the creature where it stands in moments - with the body emitting a sickly sweet smell to drive off carrion eaters. The seeds take root in the corpse and grow over the course of time to sprout more plants and more deadly flowers.
