Atheism

Atheism is the simple principal that there are no gods, deities, or afterlife. The followers of this ideal tend to believe that they have limited time of existence and strive to make the most of every moment alive. Detractors often point to the lack of consistent ethical structures and no defined moral code beyond that of the individual.
Atheists believe that there is no higher power orchestrating any events for humankind. They tend to focus more on the individual's actions weighed against a neutral morality as, in their mind, they are the only thing that have any actual weight in the universe.

This belief system originated on old Earth and has persisted in humanities expansion into the stars.
