Scantion Pebbles

The Scantion Pebbles are the thinner asteroid field in the H-Zone just outside of Scantion's orbit. The asteroids in this field are small and fast, posing a danger to any larger ship passing through or to any unaware pilot of a smaller vessel. Though the field is thinner, the difficulties from navigating the Pebbles comes from twitch reflexes.

History

The current theory is that the two Belts of Scantion were once one belt but the Pebbles were broken up or shattered together over time or during a cataclysmic event. The less popular, worrying theory is that Scantion once had a single asteroid belt, the Pebbles, and another Rock-type planet which was shattered forming the Bolders.
