Portcross
Portcross is a magnificent place that has earned the moniker "The Land of Kings" due to its breathtaking coastline. The shoreline sits on the edge of the Sea of Veil, which adds to its charm and beauty. The people who live in this region are of diverse races and backgrounds. They have established a strong navy that is capable of conducting raids on the Veil to obtain slaves and resources.
Despite the beauty of the land, King Slade's actions have marred its reputation. He considers the Veil his playground for pillaging and plundering whenever he pleases. His navy is known to conduct raids on the Veil, which has caused discontent among the people. They fear that his actions may provoke a war with the Veil, which could lead to disastrous consequences.
However, not all the people of Portcross agree with King Slade's ways. Some of them believe in peaceful coexistence with the Veil and wish to put an end to the raids. They hope to establish friendly relations with the Veil, which could lead to a peaceful and prosperous future for both regions. These people only act in the shadows and do not make themselves known.
The Veil has pushed back on Portcross several times and outlawed slavery in the Veil as a practice. King Slade wants to take the entire chain of islands for himself. He has yet to be successful in this endeavor.
