Death in the Veil
Many myths and beliefs surround the concept of death in The Veil. One of the more popular beliefs state that after death, a tribunal of the most influencial Gods in the individual's life have one Tenday to determine what fate awaits them in The Afterlife. This grace period is to allow for any objections as well as low level ressurection magic. For the duration of this tribunal, the individual is in a state of limbo. Many believe it possible to say final goodbyes to loved ones in the form of a ghost during this time.
If an individual is ressurected after this tribunal, retreiving the soul is a much more complex matter, usually requiring a journey into the Afterlife and along the Everway by the deity in question.
Due to the severe lack of usable space within The Veil, burying corpses is not commonplace. According to rumour, the only graveyard in the nation exists within the walls of the Royal Keep in A'mondyll. Instead, approximately one Tenday after death The Veiled Undertakers come to collect the body. Beliefs as to what happens to the dead range from disposal in The Gulch, to simply being thrown over The Wall to save space.
