This marks the furthest that the Iron Aldigyndos got on his crusade. It marks the spot he died, locked in battle with the Lord of White, the last beastfolk of the hinterlands, having defeated the rest in combat.
The Kaltischnayzi worship the Lord of White and so deverted a part of the river to cover it as way of destroying Iron Aldigyndos' memory.
The Night Maidens have heard rumors of the crusader and his shield and they heard that the final battle was in the area but they don't know more than that.
The Spanning Arch is where the battle started but the fight raged on until the Lord of White was driving up river to the spot where the Cenotaph of Aldigyndos was eventually placed.
The Bandit's Temple was originally founded to venerate Iron Aldigyndos before it was co-opted.
The Klittirndilfin feel it is good luck to touch the top of the Cenotaph of Aldigyndos which sticks out of the river. It is an oldy shaped protrusion.
