Paladins of Chanar are often sworn to fight for the opressed and oppose those who misuse their authority.Extended lore
Chanar, the Firebrand is the goddess of Freedom, Youth, and Righteous Fury. She is the patron goddess of the common people, yougn people, and the oppressed and scorned. Chanar is one of Toutorix's Chosen, accended after the First Incursion. Since then she has stoked the fires of rightious anger amoung the oppressed and those without voices to be heared. When she was still mortal, she was an enslaved teenage girl who managed to free herself and her fellow slaves. Afterwar, she was addopted by Sovereign Loec. During the First Incursion, she fought by her addoptive parent's side as the vanguard in many battles, where her ferocity and drive were recognised. Both Chanar and Loec were ascended into godhood after the death of the Allfather. Chanar and Loec are opposites of one another. Where Loec represents the divine authority of rulers, Chanar is the counterbalance that holds this authority to account. Many kindoms have fallen to ruin when their rulers became corrupt, and chose their own needs over those of their people. Chanar is the violent uprising that puts them to the sword, cleansing corrupted authority like a forest fire burns away rotten wood. The Aspect of Chanar is freedom from tyrany and the fury of the opressed. Chanar is worshiped by the working classes, and those who fight against systems of opression. Her folowers stand on the front lines to oppose unjust rulers and all those who missuse their power. Young people offer prayers to Chanar to ask for strength and determination to forge their own paths.
