Relationships
History
The two were originally hated rivals/enemies when they first met 20 years ago. They joined the Empire's military at the same time under Centurion Titus Cicero's command. Now that 20 years have passed, the two have bonded over many missions and near-death experiences together.
Nicknames & Petnames
They call each other by their nicknames, but most of their friends do that in general.
History
The two met for the first time when Titus ordered Lexus to go with the Empire Group in order to help them on their journey. Lexus thought he was sent so that he could assist them like a guide or with his knowledge, but Titus actually just wanted to get him out of the capital since his other scribes/antiquarians saw him as a threat to their position (they were envious of his skill). Lexus has worked hard to help the party in his own way.
Nicknames & Petnames
Lexus calls him Doc, but everyone does, so I wouldn't call it something special.
Relationship Reasoning
Lexus sees Doc as a father and mentor figure he deeply respects. In his eyes, Doc has a good sense of judgement and is fair to everyone. He was also the first person not to react oddly/badly after finding out he has a pact with the God of Wisdom, Bymos. Doc also cares about Lexus in a similar way, often giving him advice or acting for his help with learning Elvish. He respects Lexus' wide range of knowledge when it comes to history, architecture, and other topics.
Cassian "Cassia" Amulius
Daughter Figure/Princess (Important)Towards Diocleationus Svaburoz
Honest
Nicknames & Petnames
Cassia calls him Doc, but everyone does, so I wouldn't call it something special. Same with Doc calling her Cassia. Everyone in the party calls her that, though most commoners wouldn't be allowed to if she was still living in the palace.
Relationship Reasoning
Similar to Lexus, Cassia sees Doc as a father/mentor figure she respects. This is even moreso since she recently denounced her father in her mind and ran away after finding out the type of person he really is. She refuses to accept Titus Cicero as her father any longer. Although she can still be rebellious and stubborn, she is much more aggreable toward Doc than others.
History
Lucius and Doc knew each other passively for many years as Doc previously worked with his parents. They had talked a few times, but not much before he joined the party's search for Cassia in Elysia. Doc eventually discovered that Lucius is actually a double agent who pretends to be loyal to Titus while secretly working against him. Lucius argued with Doc that the current state of the Empire is wrong, and that they could make a new, better country without emperors or nobility. Doc decided to hear him out by traveling with him to Sylvia in order to see how the Empire really treats outsiders and non-citizens.
Nicknames & Petnames
Lucius calls him Doc, but everyone does, so I wouldn't call it something special.
Relationship Reasoning
The two have become allies and friends after working together for quite some time. Lucius has been trying to get Doc to understand his point of view so that Doc can help him with his plans for changing the Empire. The two appear to respect one another's combat and intellectual skills, and often go to each other for advice on their plans.
History
The two met when Doc first joined the military and Titus was just a Centurion. Although Doc wasn't there in person for the coup, he backed Titus afterwards when the young emperor took the throne for himself. Doc has worked for Titus as his right hand ever since. He truly believes Titus is a good, respectable man and emperor who practically raised him by providing him with shelter, food, and security.
History
They passively knew each other for years since Doc worked with his parents, but didn't speak much until Lucius joined the party in their search for Cassia.
