God of the Dead & Darkness Soren (Sore-ren)
God of the Dead & Darkness Soren (a.k.a. Guardian of Necromancers)
- God of Death who adopted Elvari after summoning him to The World In-Between from Barovia. Originally, he had planned on killing him while thinking he would be some great and powerful being. However, Elvari turned out to be a young vampire without much knowledge of his own powers as an Oracle. Soren couldn't bear to send him back to his abusive family or kill him despite the fact that he hadn't done anything worth punishment yet, so he decided to become his parent.
- One of the oldest of the gods.
- He worked together with the god of Light to create the first Fae and humanoids.
- He considers Grimshaw like a direct son to him. Their dynamic is one of a father who nags and worries over his slightly rebellious child. Who can blame Grimshaw when Soren constantly gives him orders, though?
- He ruled The World In-Between for eons...until recently. A certain, mischievous Fae from the Celestial Court appeared some time ago and became his wife.
- He used to be a very violent and war-hungry god who brought about death himself before Grimshaw was born. He has since calmed down and considers his past embarrassing. (Amarus was also his absolute enemy that he despised back then.)

History
The two used to be immortal enemies who fought each other constantly. When the Primordials started a war against the gods, the two were forced to team up in order to defeat them. Afterwards, all of the gods decided it would be better to work together instead of constantly tearing everything apart. Soren and Amarus eventually worked together to create mortal life known as Fae and Humanoids (any non-Fae). They both regard this as their greatest work. After Grimshaw was created, Soren became more relaxed and strict. Amarus still pops in to annoy him often, but he honestly prefers this version of Soren over his old self. Amarus gets in Soren's business and tries to be the center of attention. This is why he didn't tell him about the Crown of Truth mission. Amarus has a slight jealousy over Soren's wife, but only because Soren sends him away whenever she appears.
Soren is one of the oldest gods in this universe, and one of the first that Malborh (God of Time) created. Soren worked together with Amarus (God of Light) to create the first Fae and humanoids. Soren was once a very violent and war-hungry god who brought about death himself. After Grimshaw was created from his own negative emotions being poured into a statue given to him by Amarus, he has since calmed down and finds his younger self embarrassing.
