What would become known as "The Decade of Struggle" occurred during these years within the newly independent country of Nyxvanus. After being freed from the Elysian Empire's control, the country continued to struggle internally between the powers of The Peerage (AKA "The Twelve"), the lower nobility, and the commonfolk. This period would end with most of the victory belonging to the lower nobility and commoners.

What would become known as "The Decade of Struggle" occurred during these years within the newly independent country of Nyxvanus. After being freed from the Elysian Empire's control, the country continued to struggle internally between the powers of The Peerage (AKA "The Twelve"), the lower nobility, and the commonfolk. This period would end with most of the victory belonging to the lower nobility and commoners, as many of the Peerage families were stripped of their titles and demoted to either average commoners or completely exiled from the country.   A new government was erected in Nyxvanus, with one house (the House of Nobles) being ruled by the aristocracy, and the second house (the House of Representatives) being governed by representatives elected by commoners. Both houses became able to vote on laws and other topics with equal weight, although lobbying was common among/from the aristocracy, who would use their wealth to bribe elected representatives from the House of Representatives.   Luxifer Vanitas, one of the most outspoken dignitaries of Nyxvanus who fought during the Elysian Revolution, continued to speak out against the aristocracy, but few people dared to challenge the newly established government. Most of the population chose the comforting idea of a tentative peace, rather than taking part in any more revolutions or protest.
