Magical Energies

Intent & Emotion: The intent to consume and to bring heat, any passionate emotion will enhance it.
The ability to consume heat and living energy, to take it into one's body. Consuming heat raises the body temperature. First, it is automatically used to heal any of the caster's wounds, although it has trouble healing magic-related injuries. Then it will provide sustenance as well as support breathing. When fully recuperated, the excess energy will be converted into body heat. The energy will prevent the caster from suffering the effects of overheating but not from the effects of dehydration. As your blood grows hotter, its evaporation will speed up, and if hot enough, it will even start to boil. Boiling blood will kill the caster in a short amount of time. The heat can be vented in the form of fire, but be careful, it is easy to vent more energy than necessary, in which case you will become undercooled and will soon suffer the effects of hypothermia if not properly managed. This fire is simply a venting of energy, the mage has some control over how it is vented, but no more than directing the flames.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to give aid to others, enhanced with compassion and love in your heart.
The ability to regenerate the wounds of others, this magic requires fuel in the form of breath. Casting too much healing will leave you winded, and if you cast more than you can, it will harm your lungs, not to mention the effect the lack of oxygen can have on the brain. Healing magic is incapable of healing the one who casts the spell, and it has a hard time healing the negative effects that casting magic has on the body. It can heal damage dealt by other mages just fine.
Intent & Emotion: The intention to protect or defend, either yourself or others, enhanced by sympathy or fear.
The ability to defend others from harm. This can be pushing others away, creating shields, giving people skin with the hardness of steel, as well as preventing disease and the effects of venom or poison, but only before either of these has entered the body. It will not aid in reducing the effects of such things, it will only help avoid them. This energy is fueled by sound, it will lessen noise in exchange for casting magic. However, the sound still passes through the ears into the body, and casting too much of this magical energy might leave one hard of hearing. Many protection mages carry a device for the creation of sound, which they use to fuel their magic.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to relocate yourself or others, enhanced by pride.
The ability to transport people and goods over long distances, either by ethereal flight or teleportation. Both are much the same, but the former is more precise, although much harder to control. Teleportation can be used for the caster themselves as well as other people, objects, or anything else. Ethereal flight is only available for the caster and anyone they are in physical contact with. These magics are powered by imagination, to fly, you have to imagine yourself flying, to teleport, you have to imagine yourself or others teleporting. It is possible to set up teleportation spots in advance. It is much easier to teleport to a location where you have previously put a teleportation link, it is impossible to teleport to places where you have never been before. The same cannot be said about ethereal flight. Ethereal flight allows the caster to enter an ethereal state, in which they can rapidly move in all three spatial dimensions. For them, it will look like the world is going in slow motion, while actually, they are just processing things much faster. This ability will usually leave a faint trail of white light, unless the caster specifically attempts to hide it. The effects of repeated misuse of these energies might include progressively worsening headaches.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to uncover or discover, enhanced by confidence.
The ability to discover things. To see visions about the past of people or objects by touching them. This energy allows you to see things that would otherwise be invisible to people, such as people's intentions. These magics are fueled by the wind, the traveling of air.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to speed up decay, to let end, enhanced by hopeful somber.
The art of breaking things down, to reduce them to their parts, either quickly or slowly, abruptly or gently. This can be used in various degrees. For example, it can be used to split milk into butter and liquid quickly, but if overdone, the entire substance may be reduced to its elemental components. This magic uses only the materials affected and does not need additional fuel. The negative effects of this magic may be premature death of skin cells, causing irritation, psoriasis, or even necrosis, at the worst stages, extending to the upper layers of flesh.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to make new, stronger things, enhanced by excitement and a feeling of accomplishment.
The ability to combine things into a new whole. This allows you to craft things out of existing materials simply by willing them to assemble themselves, but it also allows you to construct completely new materials, as long as you have the required ingredients. This ability goes well with deconstruction, the one allowing you to strip materials for their parts, the other allowing you to utilize those materials to create new things. Like Deconstruction, this magic uses only the materials affected and does not need additional fuel. The long-term effects may be loss of muscle mass, weakness, and death.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to see, to hear, to observe, enhanced by contentment and humility.
The ability to focus and temporarily enhance your senses and reflexes. This also allows you to tune your sense to frequencies of sound, vision, and other energies that are usually not available for people, such as ultraviolet and infrared light, supersonic sounds, and the sense of magical energies. This energy is fueled by concentration; the more present you are for the process, the better it allows you to tune your senses. The long-term effects of these magics may include any slight sensory numbing at first, but over time more and more significantly. This can affect all senses, the worst of which is the sense of balance, mages who have abused this power may lose their ability to stand up straight.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to fight, to win, enhanced by confidence, anger, and excitement.
The ability to enhance and strengthen the muscles and the toughness of the body, as well as the ability to increase the strength of objects temporarily. With strength comes danger, the stronger one makes themselves, the more they lose themselves in this power. Entering a state of violent warriors rage, not out of anger, but out a a desire to win. While this is only temporary, if one casts more strength on themselves than they can handle, they might accidentally get themselves killed. While this power can make you a powerful behemoth of strength and prowess, it will not make you unkillable, and a well-aimed spear in the face will still kill you. The long-term effects of this may be that the rampage, as it is called, is harder and harder to leave.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to erode and shape, enhanced by determination and pride.
The ability to shape objects by removing material from them, this works on any material, although the time and energy required to shape it depends on the hardness of the material. Trying to erode things to fast will also erode your body, specifically the parts most used by magical energy, such s the neural pathways that guide magic, an experienced mage will have thick protective layers on their nerves, but its not impossible for them to be eroded away by a careless caster.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to end, to eradicate, to destroy, enhanced by discontent, anger, and pride.
The ability to destroy things, not simply take things apart, but to reduce them to atoms. It also allows for brief telekinesis on affected material. This ability works especially well on living beings. It suspends the connection between atoms, permanently if given enough intent. It is fueled by discontent and anger, it will use up these feelings and calm you down.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to change things, to transform, enhanced by curiosity
The ability to change the composition of living matter, allowing one to change the shape and appearance of their external and internal body parts, as well as allowing for the replacement of various appendages and even organs, with those from others, even those from animals. It also allows for the complete transformation of those transformed limbs. While casting these spells, the individual components will arrange themselves into the desired positions. This magic can be used on oneself or on others. It is fueled by living matter, it only uses the materials required and does not need additional fuel. The effects this has are only those on the mind.
Intent & Emotion: The intent to meticulously remove something, to create a hole, or a slice, or to simply take apart, enhanced by disgust, anger, and confidence.
The art of taking apart people and objects. It allows the caster to see a perfect three-dimensional representation of the affected object in their head and to take it apart piece by piece and put it back together again, maybe rearrange it if necessary. Not only can this be cast on physical matter, but also on more mystical things, beyond the comprehension of human beings. This energy uses only materials used and does not need additional fuel.
Light Energies
These are the energies emanated into the world by the Velen. They are called light, not because they work or operate in a lighter way than the other magics, but simply because casting magic from an energy that originates from one of the Forsaken is considered much darker than those of the Velen.Consumption

Colorations
Each one of the magical energies has a distinct color that will affect the appearance of the spell when cast. Besides color there is also the shape and texture of the spell, but this is related more to the type of spell and the intent and emotion, than the magical energy that is used.
These are purely visual, and the more intense, the deeper the colors are caused by stronger spells.
Fuel
Each magic uses a fuel besides the energy that is used. The energy is the thing that makes the spell happen, the fuel is what used to actually cause the spell. Some energies use the material affected by the spell as fuel, such as deconstruction, which simply deconstructs using the energy, and therefore doesn't need additional fuel. Others use an external fuel, like consumption which uses thermal energy that first has to be taken into the body and is then used for magic.
Intent & Emotion
All energies are linked to an intent, and a related emotional state. The intent is required for the spell to be cast, for example, someone could never cast healing without feeling the compassion or love to help others, with an intent to harm, it simply won't happen. Emotion acts more as a catalyst. It is possible to cast spells with the wrong emotional state, the spell just won't be very good. The stronger and more "correct" your emotions, the better the spell will be.
