Gregory Flume
Gregory Flume is a the King of Ferelden, as well as a Warden. He used to be the leader of the Wardens until his fellow countrymen called for him to step down, fearing how much power he controlled.
He is best known for being voted into the role of king during the Ferelden Civil War, managing to quickly end the war, unifying his nation, and then ending the threat the Jrid posed to his people.
Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Gregory has a strange scar that can only be described as resembling a burn-wound around his left eye, almost as if he had been struck by lightning there many years ago.
Special abilities
Gregory is the only known and well-recognized leader in all of Thedas that is known to having magical powers. His style is quite similar to that of a knight-enchanter, focusing on utilizing his magic in a way to assist his sword-play. Some international Templars have shown a bitterness towards their Ferelden counterparts allowing a mage to rule over a country, but the Ferelden countrymen who find themselves in the Order seem to have a leniency towards him.
If stories are to be believed, he is incredibly powerful.

Personal history
Gregory was born to the teyrn of Highever, Malcolinus Flume. His mother is unknown. He was born the youngest of three children, though Gregory's siblings gained much less recognition than he did and they presumably died around the age of thirty at the Battle of Dur Themriel against the Jrid.
Gregory was trained as an academic from when he was young and learned from the few scholars who lived in Ferelden during his youth. Little is known about this period of time in his life, nor do most think it particularly matters.
People began taking interest in Gregory after the entirety of the Warden force was supposedly massacred at the Battle of Dur Themriel. It is widely believed that Gregory had only joined the Warden force a few days prior to the battle and yet somehow was the only one to live. Some credit Hakkon Wintersbreath as having blessed Gregory with the luck to fight another day and that Gregory was destined for greatness. For months following the battle, Gregory began secretly rebuilding the Wardens as his country began to dissolve into chaos.
Through the actions of himself and those he had convinced to join the Wardens, Gregory was able bring many different groups together and bind them under contracts to help serve the Wardens during this time of crisis. Notably, he was able to convince the Dalish of the Brecilian Forest and also the massive armed forces of the Redcliffe arling. He even at one point was able to convince some few Avvar to assist him in his efforts.
While all of this was happening, the then-King Calenhad Theirin was murdered by a Qunari warlord named Arishok. Not long after this occurred, Gregory sent a message out forcing the arls, banns, and teyrns of Ferelden and the rebellion forces of the Alamarri Sons to meet and reconcile. It was at this Landsmeet that the leader of the Alamarri Sons, Adrian Black, and Gregory openly argued with one another about the future of the country. The Alamarri Sons and the Ferelden nationalists were unable to see eye to eye and thus both Black and Flume were put forth as champions who were to duel one another over who would become king. In this decisive moment for Ferelden's future, Gregory was able to best Black. Surprisingly, Flume did not execute Black as was expected. Instead, Flume forced Black to join the Wardens.
With the leader of the opposing force now under his command, Gregory was able to quickly dismantle any further oppositions his fellow countrymen had and instead brought their focus back to the threat that was invading their country: the Jrid. As the Jrid plagued and blackened the southern half of the country, the Wardens began fighting back. Over the course of the next few months, the Wardens took devastating losses but were able to defeat the Jrid under Gregory's leadership.
With the Ferelden Civil War having come to an end, Gregory rose to the title of kingship and began rebuilding his once again unified nation under the values that had been instilled in him during this time of war.
