Seheron

Seheron, the largest island in Thedas, is a humid jungle nation in the Boeric Ocean directly north of the Tevinter Imperium.

History

Seheron had been in the possession of the Tevinter Imperium from its earliest days, likely taken from the Dalish during the days of Elvhenan.
Little is known about this place since the oceans around it are known to be incredibly dangerous. In the bodies of water, beasts more dangerous than most could possibly dream of lurk just below the surface. Even deeper, the beasts become monstrosities capable of tearing entire naval militias apart in minutes.
It is believed that this was a place held under the thumb of the Tevinters, though it's impossible to say. Supposedly goliaths from Par Vollen have traveled here, though it is impossible to say whether that is fact or propaganda they would wish others to believe. Some have even theorized that perhaps it's a place where the Dragon Phalanx and Tevinter magistrates had fought before. Most have resided themselves to the fact that it's near impossible to ever find any of this out.

Stories

Stories exist telling tales of what Seheron once was, or at least that's what the story teller would want you to think. They tell of griffons that flew high over the lands, warriors that moved incorporeally through fog, and waters that would mend gaping wounds. There's no way anyone would know anything for sure, especially since many of the stories seem outlandish, but it's hard to dispute that there feels like at least a shred of truth and fact in all of it.
