Flaskbelt
The Flaskbelt clan is minor nobility, so distant they do not even share the typical “Stone-” prefix in their clan name. They are not quite poor, but not nearly so wealthy as they pretend to be. In fact Sanean joined the Thieves of the Hoard less so because of her mild opposition to the Queen and more because she needed the money. Sanean hopes to steal something(s) valuable enough to turn her family’s fortunes, and though her parents would hardly approve of such methods, they do not inquire where her sudden influx of capital comes from.
The Flaskbelts used to live primarily on the small Flaskbelt Estate several miles outside of Esset-Khal, but took an unfortunately timed vacation to the city just before Queen Ruthata’s coup. Sanean’s mother, who was not feeling well, stayed behind with Sanean’s infant brother, and the family is now split in half, adding to their troubles. Sanean, her father, and her older sister now live in their run-down city house (the real reason for their supposed “vacation” was that her father was intending to sell the house, but now they have no choice but to live there).
