Second Lieutenant Girdana Leadbraid
A Second Lieutenant in The Queen's New Army, Girdana is a woman of dualities. On the one hand she is frustrated with her inability to climb the military ladder any further; on the other hand she wishes she could be free from the army (and perhaps Esset-Khal) altogether. She was fiercely loyal to the Queen during her coup, but now questions her sanity. She thinks the claims of strange doorways and portals opening throughout the city all come from "coo-coos" - so what does that make her when she frequently sees a swirling purple portal in the alley beside her home?
If the party joins the military, they will report directly to Lieutenant Leadbraid. While she may be standoffish at first, she sympathizes with the party's plight as adventurers who never intended to permanently stay in Esset-Khal. Her opinions on the young Queen can be pried out of her with alcohol or careful persuasion. She has a friendly rivalry with Moltir Wraithguard, competing to see whose squad can earn the most accolades and accomplish the most impressive deeds.
