Muki Strongblade
Muki is only twenty-four years old and would normally be too young to attend a ball, but his sitter fell ill at the last minute and his parents were unable to find a replacement. (The Strongblades, while far from poor, are not wealthy enough to employ servants who might look after him for the night.) He is dressed in nice clothes, but they are more akin to his Sunday best than appropriate ball attire. Dagoulda and Geddick have sternly impressed upon Muki that he must be on his absolute best behaviour throughout the night - a warning Muki is too young and free-spirited to keep in mind for the entire night. Around midnight, as Muki is getting tired and his self-control wanes, he decides to splash about in the patio’s fountain, ignoring his parents’ calls to return to their side. Geddick is forced to enter the fountain himself to retrieve him, and the Strongblades leave the ball early in embarrasment - leaving their older, more mature daughter Therrara Strongblade to enjoy the event by herself.
