Glacial Sovereignty

The Glacial Sovereignty, a majestic Marid Padishah, once ruled over the expansive lands of ice that connected to the Free Marches, a series of four islands. Their dominion encompassed vast frozen tundras, glacial valleys, and icy mountain ranges. The Marid Padishah, wielding their mastery over water and ice magic, commanded the freezing winds and harnessed the power of blizzards.   The Glacial Sovereignty was a realm of breathtaking beauty and ethereal splendor. The capital city, Frostholm, stood as a testament to their power, constructed entirely from ice and adorned with shimmering crystals that reflected the sunlight in a myriad of colors. The inhabitants of the Glacial Sovereignty, the Frostborne, were known for their resilience and adaptability to the harsh frozen environment.   Throughout the ages, the Glacial Sovereignty found itself locked in a perpetual struggle for supremacy with its neighboring power, the Zarakshan Dominion. These conflicts between the elemental forces of water and earth shaped the continent of Rakion, leaving a lasting impact on its geography and inhabitants and spreading disease to all the mortal races.   In their battles against the Zarakshan Dominion, the Glacial Sovereignty unleashed powerful blizzards and ice storms, encasing vast stretches of land in eternal frost. The freezing winds swept through once-thriving lands, turning fertile plains into icy wastelands and freezing lakes and rivers solid.   The Glacial Sovereignty's mastery over ice magic allowed them to create intricate networks of ice bridges and frozen pathways, enabling their armies to traverse the icy terrain with ease. They commanded formidable water elementals and summoned mighty ice golems to defend their realm.   However, with each encounter, the battles between the Glacial Sovereignty and the Zarakshan Dominion exacted a heavy toll on the land. The once-diverse ecosystems and vibrant landscapes of Rakion succumbed to the icy grip of the Glacial Sovereignty's powers. Forests withered under layers of frost, and mountains became treacherous icy peaks.   The conflicts between the Glacial Sovereignty and the Zarakshan Dominion left deep scars upon Rakion. The legacy of these battles is one of frozen desolation, with the continent bearing witness to the ongoing struggle between the elemental forces of water and earth.   Even as the Glacial Sovereignty's dominion waned over time, the remnants of their icy empire still stand as testament to their once-mighty power. The frozen landscapes serve as a reminder of the eternal clash between the elemental forces and the lasting consequences of their battles.   The Sovereignty ceased to exist after the The Malady of Waters and Stone.
