Clergy, Temples and Worshippers

Every follower of Muvir the Reaver aspires to bathe in the blood of their adversaries amidst the chaos they themselves incite. Once revered as a war deity, Muvir epitomized victory achieved through unbridled rage rather than strategic prowess. His ascendancy was challenged by the emerging demigod Tenzus, who sought dominance in the realm of warfare.
Rituals
Bloodreavers pray for spells in the morning. Rituals dedicated to the Lord of War often incorporate bloodletting rituals and the anointment of devotees with the blood of their foes. Many of Garagos's savage clerics proudly forego bathing, wearing multiple layers of enemy blood as badges of honor. The cult's fixation on blood has prompted speculation of potential ties to vampirism, although such claims lack substantiation. In fact, most vampires would regard a blood-drenched cleric of Muvir as a delectable feast rather than an ally. Bloodreavers commonly pursue multiclassing as barbarians.

Tenets of Faith

  • Embrace conflict, for it breeds strength and resilience, making all parties involved stronger.
  • Honor is found in direct confrontation; only in face-to-face combat can true honor be achieved.
  • Never consider retreat, even when facing a superior adversary; with devotion to Muvir, strength to overcome any challenge will be granted.
  • Avoidance of battle is an act of cowardice; true warriors eagerly embrace the fray.
  • Cowardice is displayed by those who strike down adversaries from ambush or behind.

Personal history

During the era of Menedynn, Muvir was part of the Menedynn Pantheon under a name lost to time, never disclosed to others. Sometime around or shortly after the collapse of Menedynn, the outsider deity Tenzus succeeded in vanquishing Muvir. However, staunch adherents who sailed to Epeoris saw Muvir's enigmatic return in the northern reaches of the region during The Gods War. Faster to ire and slower to show clemency than in his previous existence, Muvir found most of his followers among brigands, bandits, and devotees of destructive deities who merely paid him homage on the battlefield.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

The deranged and destructive entity known as the Reaver is nearly primal in its chaos, devoid of any allies among the pantheons of Theras—other gods opt to avoid any interaction with Muvir altogether. Despite his fractured psyche, Muvir still holds deep animosity toward Tenzus and now Kord as well. If these deities were to engage in battle, it's likely that the Reaver would suffer greatly. However, there may come a time when Muvir's sheer destructive power surpasses any strategic shortcomings, and on that fateful day, the followers of Kord will face true despair.
