This Civil war orchestrated by Maeglin of the Quessir, furthered the decline of Owhain. This war ended a millenia and a half after his death.

This Civil war orchestrated by Maeglin of the Quessir, furthered the decline of Owhain. This war ended a millenia and a half after his death.   Even though in life, Maeglin tried to infect the Elves with the Nevae Kash, the civil war stopped a millenia after, with major battles going on in the beginning mostly and once every 40 years and sometimes 80 years.   The Civil War ended with High Elven Magic returning in some degree to the elves, despite Ervenius' Draught, due to a truce called between Ervenius and Corellon Larethien.
