Eòsalas Mountains

The Eòsalas Mountains are a small mountain range located along the eastern coast of Maedris. They are one of the sacred lands of the gods Niginni and Brasaan and, as such, are diligently guarded by the gods' followers.

Descriptions

The maximum altitude of the Eòsalas Mountains is lower than that of other mountain ranges in Thesilae, and its relatively mild weather is in part due to this fact (in addition to the generally warm, pleasant weather of the surrounding regions). Snow is uncommon, although not unheard of, with very little of it falling even in mid-winter. The many well-maintained paths which lead up to the Shrine of Eòsalas are more frequently adorned by a vibrant array of blooming flowers and wild grasses.
Although the mountains are patrolled constantly by the druidic followers of Niginni and Brasaan, they are by no means safe for common folk to hike through without a guide. Many wild creatures live among its heights, and would not hesitate to make the weary traveler into an unwitting lunch.
