House Fortescue

House Fortescue is one of the noble houses of Aramore. They are based in the Glassridge District, and manage the city's law enforcement and justice systems. It is the head of House Fortescue that provides funding for the Argentan Waves training and equipment, and appoints a new captain of the guard whenever the previous High Constable is unable to continue performing their duties.   Their crest depicts twin horseback knights turned away from one another on either side of a pair of crossed rapiers, with a countercharged wyvern above. It's house colors are a soft powder blue, snow white, and light silver.

Chateau d'Fortescue

Chateau d'Fortescue is a manor house located on the east side of Glassridge District, surrounded by the marble gardens of House Fortescue. Visitors are rarely permitted entry, and typically only on matters of strict business. The house itself is wider than it is tall, with only two stories (in addition to the cellar and the attic), and was built with a mind towards symmetry and proportion. It has ashlar walls of white brick and a dark slate-shingled roof with several chimneys rising out of it. The windows are evenly-spaced, and it is difficult to tell from the outside what the actual layout of the rooms inside might be.

Note: The titles and names of the Kingdom of Luria are often derived from what little memory the humans of Thesilae have of their ancient languages. Thus there is a mixture of English, French, and Scots words used, some of which have been unknowingly mistranslated by Lurians.
