Ace War-Engineers

The 2nd rank of the extremely prestigious War-Engineer title, after Apprentice War-Engineer and preceding Master War-Engineer.
A war-engineer is an extremely skilled type of military commander who can also design their own vehicle and weapons for use in war. Being the ones that designed their own units, they understand the specs and role of the craft very welll, and can design units to their exact requirements. 
Although extremely rare, war-engineers are one of the most prestigious positions one can hold in the Hyperion Federation.

Qualifications

Must have been an Apprentice War-Engineer beforehand. The First War-Engineer must see potential in the holder of the title.

Appointment

At the end of a War-Engineer grading session, involving entering virtual universes and defeating other Apprentices who compete for the title, the rank may be appointed by the First War-Engineer. There are no specific requirements, but he must find potential in the holder.

Duties

Designing new weapons for their own use for the military and the Federation as a whole should it want it.

Responsibilities

The title is a huge responsibility. Obviously, the lives of all they command while in battle.

Cultural Significance

It is mostly significant in suon culture, but members of other races can possess the rank.
