Conquest - Class Battleship
The conquest class battleship is a large starship as used by the Alti Dominion. It has several large rapidfire railgun turrets as its main armament, as well as a powerful shield. The main drive of the conquest class is large, giving the ship a significant liner acceleration. However, due to the high mass of its armour, it has poor maneuverability. This drive also presents a large weak point. The Republic of Miasi exploits this with their superior mobility.
It also has high explosive chainguns as secondary armament, also boosted by TDDs. This combined with its CIWS lasers make it hard to exploit this weakness.
This class was designed following a requirement for a form of starship that can engage frontally with high efficiency. This need arises because of advancements in doctrine, they started doing large and fast strikes remiscient of blitzkreig and giving the enemy little time to flank. It absolutely needs a lot of escorting forces because of this.
They are initially deployed against rhe omado, where the entire front is covered with them, making them difficult to flank.
