Hazal - Class Subspatial Starship
A large, entirely biological Subspatial Starship used by the Hyperion Federation, engineered as a bioship by the UAC and named after a lava planet called Hazal.
The Hazal - Class features several organs that can ride gravitons into higher dimensions using a method very similar to that of regular Subspatial Starships. Only 1 is required to perform this though - providing the bioship with a lot of redundancy. As a heavy starship, it was slow and to be functional as a Subspatial Starship, it had to be light - sacrificing armour. As such, it relied mainly on its stealth and firepower for its own protection. The crew of these kinds of bioships are drilled and trained about this very often by the Hyperion Federation, so are careful about surfacing at any locaation where a battle is happening. However, the sheer firepower these carry mean that it can ambush an enemy with an overwhelming firepower. They are often used to help a flanking force destroy larger, heavier targets so that the lighter forces can approach and cause havoc. Despite the weakly armoured nature though, almost all organs (with the only exception being the crew compartment) had redundant copies as well, to withstand an amount of firepower. The crew compartment had the strongest armour of any part of the bioship. The Hazal Class is a formidible powerhouse to any subspatial starship forces, even of the HF.
