Tardak Spitter

A species of megafauna life native to Tebburus.   Tardak Spitters are best known for the large mouth which is able to fire projectiles at prey. These projectiles are often about 200 mm wide and travel at 800 m/s. Tardak Spitters can do this because of its highly powerful Taidakic Field manipulating gland next to its mouth, directing mostly-Aetherium projectiles at high velocity and accuracy. Due to this trait, however, they must eat aetherium to survive.   Tardak Spitters are also often called Tardak Snipers. Their large eye can zoom in to large distances and further improve the accuracy of their aetherium shard attack. This also allows it to spot a prey from large distances. They can hear as well, but their hearing is not extremely good. This is primarily to find nearby potential threats more easily. Tardak Spitters can also touch-feel.   To give it a fast running speed, Tardak Spitter bodies are quite light for their large size. This low density biomass is highly vulnerable to outside damage, though, so Spitters are often more careful to not suffer wounds and their pain receptors are sensitive. Despite this fagility, they have been existing on the planet for a long time and continue to thrive today despite the presence of Suon society.   They can grow to a size of up to about 22 m. They are accurate to about 3 km. Strangely, Tardak Spitters reproduce in a similar way as suons. They are asexual and must grow their womb.
