Session 2: The Man in Black Report

General Summary

The adventurers met the Man in Black, Diplomat Aulus Mettilius Solus, in a tavern called A Stone's Throw. After speaking with the Diplomat he had a request for them. The Diplomat asked the adventurers to save his son, Tiberius. Solus believes his son has been abducted by an individual named Rupan Ocana. Rupan is said to be a healer that lives in a tower on the southern coast of the Eresus Lowlands. Diplomat Solus offered the adventurers 10,000 gold pieces each should they bring back his son alive and well. The adventurers agreed. Diplomat Solus advised them that they would need a boat to cross the Red River and left the tavern. As Diplomat Solus left 15 other patrons followed him. This was his personal detail.   As the adventurers set out they learned of the Lost Hatchery, a fish hatchery built by the people of Stonefield. Unfortunately the hatchery was taken over by a group of fanatical Tortles. The adventurers decided that they could secure ships and gain the support of Stonefield by recapturing the hatchery. When the adventurers arrived at the hatchery they approached quietly and surprised a group of Tortle fanatics. They made quick work of the group and spoke with the final survivor. The Tortle extolled the Deep Ones, alleged gods that live beneath the waves. The Tortle spoke of a desire to drown the world and Felix killed him in response. The adventurers searched the Tortles finding a large sum of gold and a scroll of Hideous Laughter. Now they will need to decided how to proceed in recapturing the rest of the Lost Hatchery.
