A Struggling Town

Introduction:

Stonefield is a small town on the eastern slopes of the Red Rock Mountains. Its name comes from the rocky fields that surround the town.

Demographics

Stonefield is mainly inhabited by Humans. There is a minority of Dwarves and Halflings as well.

Government

Stonefield is governed by a mayor selected by the residents of the town. The current mayor is a Diogenis Buruo.

Defences

Stonefield is surrounded by a wooden pallisade. However, many of the fields lie beyond the wooden walls.

Industry & Trade

Stonefield is an aggricultural town. Almost everyone is engaged in some form of agriculture. There are some who mine the surrounding mountains but this has become increasingly dangerous.

History

Stonefield was founded by a group of humans loyal to the Lady of the Mists. Shortly before her assassination, this group was set to establish a foothold in Free Hills that could later be used as a means to further expand the holdings of the Lady of the Mists. After her assassination, the founders of Stonefield did not engage in the subsequent conflicts for the Lady's kingdom. Stonefield has since become a somewhat prosperous agricultural town. They have managed to stay out of the endemic skirmishes between other communities in Free Hills due to the buffer provided by the Red Rock Mountains.
