great forests
Geography
The great forests are mainly found toward the center of the continent, often near rivers and lakes. They are filled with ancient trees and bushes. While it is often too dense to see into, some brave travelers enjoy wandering the edges of them to hear the birds and other wildlife inside them
Ecosystem
Because of the density of the trees, there is nothing very large inside of them. all the cretures inside them are quick and often flexible. often times, the few elementals that are in them often learn to interact with the plants around them. As well, many creatures here have learned to sense things with a sense other then sight, as sometimes there are so many tree canopies that no light makes it into the forest
Climate
The great forests often see a lot of rain. As a result, there is a lot of humidity in the air within the forest. As well, the rain and light often not making it to the ground, the inside of the forests are often very cold, getting to freezing levelsduring the nights
Fauna & Flora
The most noticable organizm in the forests is the massive trees all throughout the forests. While in some other ecosystems, the treess blocking out the sun would stop any other plants from growing, the plants have grown a symbiotic relationship, connecting to the trees, which share energy and water to the smaller plants beneath them.
Natural Resources
The wood of the trees themselves are often harvested by brave or foolish prospectors. as well, there are some berries and fruits in the forest that are used for luxury dishes. hunts also seek out the leather of the creatures in them as well.
