thundering strike
Effect
Upon proper usse, storm strike aims to enshroud the weapons the rune was on a with a thick field of electrity, aimed to increase the striking power of the hit even more
Side/Secondary Effects
As with all runes, each use drains the rune of power more and more. If the wearer accidentally touches the part of the weapon being enchanted, it can do damage to the user as well. As well, casting the spell with a damaged rune or rune that does not have enough energy will release all energy remaining in the rune
Manifestation
a blue sparking aura can be seen appear on the blade of the weapon or the projectile, and the air feel static around the blade. As well, a humming sound has been said to be able to be heard near the blade.
Source
As none of the non-elementals sentient races can use magic, this spell is brough forth from runes carved in the correct way to bring the spell and powered by the elemental energies that the rune was imbued with
Discovery
It was one of the first storm spells discovered as the ancients began exprimenting with their runes. Ironically, it was discovered on accident when an early runesmith tried to recreate an existing known storm rune and a mistake in the carving formed it instead
Material Components
A rune carved in the right pattern of the spell, as well as a weapon for it to actually be carved in. While the weapon is easier to get, you need to find a runesmith to carve the rune into the weapon, whcih can be more expensive
Gestures & Ritual
To activate the rune, one must lay some part of their hand on the rune, usually carved into the handle of the weapon, and draw out the energies inside of the weapon
