Personal history
The only child of a cruel King of the past generation, Redfang was thrown onto the streets at the young age of four years old. Though seen as less than trash by most of the society where he grew up, Redfang learned quickly how the world around him worked.
For 3 years Redfang survived in this small City but as he grew older the hatred usually cast at him by the passing public grew into fear and violence.
Sick of being treated like an animal, Redfang left the city and found himself a new home in a vast Elven Forest, where, once again, he adpated quickly to survive, realizing that he could now fully give into his natural instincts.
Unfortunately this included death.
For nine years, the rumours grew of a Demon Cat that ruled a section of his forest. Anyone that was found within a certain boundary of the forest was found by passers by, strung to tree tops by their ankles or pinned to tree trunks by spears, always with the victims throat missing.
A Ranger once ventured into the forest in search of proof that this Demon Cat really did exist. He was the only person to see the Demon Cat alive, even so, the Ranger lost his Familiar to the beast and barely lived to tell the tale himself. He would go on to be quoted as saying "He was... huge... Tig...Tigerfolk...red fangs...it was...it looked like....King Rendaius...but not....its...face...teeth..dripping with blood...red...fangs....killed my partner...red fangs..."
Shortly after, the ranger took his own life.
The suicide of the Ranger was the tipping point for the Elven village. They had allowed this monster to go on a killing spree unchecked for too long. They will take back the land they had lost to him and end his feral life.
The Elves send an envoy to find the Hidden Tigerfolk, in hopes that one of their own could rid them of the Elves problem.
The Tigerfolk agreed that this red fanged Demon Cat was indeed a great threat and sent their Champion Tr'yku to extinguish the threat.
Upon first contact, the two Tigers fought a vicious battle. Tr'yku would suffer his first (and only, so far) loss on the battlefield, walking away beaten and now missing an arm.
After a month of recuperation, Tr'yku would return to the forest and confront Redfang for a second time. And for a second time, Tr'yku could not kill Redfang. Though Tr'yku was victorious this time around, he knew that he could not keep this up. Not only was Redfang too wild and unpredictable to defeat in normal combat, Tr'yku could see that his instincts, while extremely sharp, had not completely seized control of the warrior before him.
Tr'yku carried Redfangs unconscience body to the cells of the Elven town, put him behind bars and waited for Redfang to awaken.
When he woke, Redfang was offered an ultimatum by Tr'yku. Stay in this Elf cell underground until he died, or accompany Tr'yku on a dangerous mission into Thunderia, and if they survived, return with Tr'yku to the village of Shakkahn, join the ranks of the Tigerborn and spend the rest of his natural life repenting for his various transgressions of the past.
Redfang chose the latter.
No one, Tigerborn, Tigerfolk, elf or human included knew what mission the two Warriors embarked on, though both returned to Shakkahn bloodied and pursued by a small horde of Drow (who promptly got lost in the jungles surrounding Shakkahn, making themselves easy pickings for the Tigerfolk guard who wiped them out within the hour)
Redfang would soon declare his loyalty to the Tigerborn of Shakkahn and dedicate his new found lease on life to learn the secrets of the Tigerborn mystic rituals of healing and elemental taming.
Choosing the Path of Redemption, Redfang has lost most of his battle edge, allowing himself to sink deeper into the learnings of mystic healing. Though, in the few instances Shakkahn has been attacked, Redfang would once again sharpen his claws to defend his home.
Twenty year passed and Tr'yku and his life bonded, Skishi, bore a son of the name Trax.
On Traxs fifth birthday, Tr'yku disappeared without a trace. Redfang, livid that he could not do anything to help Tr'yku, turned to the remaining three of the Four Elders, begging permission to pursue Tr'yku. He was denied this request, so Redfang did what he thought would be the next best thing. He marched to Tr'ykus home and dragged Trax into the jungles and began to train him for battle. This would continue to go on everyday for six years, until the remaining Elders received an S.O.S from an unknown organisation claiming to know where to find Tr'yku. The letter had Tr'ykus bloodied paw print on the back of the scroll, confirming that the information was indeed true. Redfang and his protege Trax would set out immediately to find the missing Elder.
Meeting at a dirty dive bar in a town ten days ride from the Shakkahn jungles, Redfang and Trax met a man heavily shrouded in a dark cloak. Redfang noted that he had never seen hair that silver on a young Human before. The man introduced himself as a member of an organisation named FIST. He had been keeping an eye on Tr'yku for some time, and by association, Shakkahn. He knew of Tr'ykus power and had read stories of a white tiger stained in blood whom, after being defeated by Tr'yku, dissapeard from the world.
The strange man finished his tea and slid two scrolls onto the table. By the time Redfang had picked up the gifts, the man had vanished.
One scroll contained the location of where Tr'yku was being held. The other, contained a letter from the leaders of FIST asking for the help and allegiance of The Tigerborn of Shakkahn.
Redfang and Trax would go on to save Tr'yku and return to Shakkahn without trouble.
