Eilean on Ear

A long island that is now a part of the Dymebian Empire. The Lync is often visible here, even in landscapes. The island has a long history of vibrant culture, prior to the Dymebian Empire take-over. As an effort to control the peoples of Eilean on Ear, the Dymebians outlawed their cultural customs.

Geography

Eilean on Ear is a large island; narrow (compared to the mainland) and long, stretching from north to south. It contains many different climates and biomes, with tundra and taiga in the north, grasslands and a desert in the middle and rainforests in the south. The fabled floating Gu Brath Mountain Range extends nearly the entire length of the island. Like the Ardanach Mountains, there are many breaks in the range that allow for travelers to pass through.

Ecosystem

The island is large and spans many biomes. Each biome is unique, with the rainforests being the most dense with different species. All of the biomes on the island seem to have more Magic about them than their mainland counterparts.

History

During the age of monarchs, Eilean on Ear was the only area of Tieryon that was not ruled by a monarchy. It consisted of many small communites with a natural development of local culture. However, due to this, it was an easy target to be conquered by the Dymebian Empire, which began its conquest across the strait between them.
