Khib

While some consider the Khib a mythical creature, they are indeed real on Tieryon. Khib are a collection of corrupted Lync energy (soul) of sentient beings that only experience misfortune in their lives. This creates a non-corporeal form that seeks those who experience great fortune in their lives out of envy and a desire to seek revenge. When a target is identified, the Khib will take a physical form: they will appear as the most objective beauty known to that species and attempt to seduce this individual. Over time, the Khib causes greater misfortune in the target's life until all they experience is misfortune. All the while, the Khib loses its ability to keep up the facade of the beautiful appearance and eventually reveals ther true form. Upon the death of the target, they too become a Khib and wander the world to find an unsuspecting fortunate person to exact revenge upon.
