High Priest Ernst Straub
Ernst Straub is the High Priest of Reorx in the city of Noor.
The Church of Reorx was recently adopted as the official religion of The Western Peninsula, on the instruction of King Guster Sampala II.
Each city in the peninsula was dispatched a High Priest of Reorx from Warres, and Straub was dispatched to serve Noor.
With the help of the military arm of the church, Victor Baumann was summarily pushed from the high cathedral, and relegated to a smaller chapel in the city while the High Priest took up residence and Sermon in the upper tiers.
Unknowingly to Straub, this provoked a deep loathing in Baumann, who initially took to drinking to suppress his anger and sadness. On one alcohol hazed day, Victor was approached by Tordenn Kasios to ask him to remove a curse. Sensing some leverage, Victor entreated the party to somehow embarrass the high priest in front of the City.
The Party quickly infiltrated 'The Orchid', a high end members club in the upper tiers. Appealing to the High Priest's penchant for show, Tordenn claimed to be rehabilitating savage orcs and goblins from the forests. The priest invited them to a sermon where he would bestow gifts of the church and 'elevate' them by Reorx.
Unfortunately for him, The Party had obtained laxatives from an alchemist earlier that day, and managed to spike his wine with it. The result was an unfathomably embarrassing explosion in front of his entire congregation.
Ernst was, presumably, furious and immediately suspicious of the party in this - enough so that he sought revenge through the High Inquisitor Leon Paswick.
The enthusiastic Inquisitor begun his investigation with Ernst himself, and unfortunately for the High Priest, Paswick supposedly found some damning evidence of smuggling and embezzlement against him.
In the space of a week, after having met The Party, High Priest Ernst Straub went from a life of lavish decadence and luxury, to the noose.
He was denounced as a traitor to the crown, and as a result of his high treason, he died at the hands of High Inquisitor Leon Paswick in front of an astonished crowd in front of the cathedral he had called his place of worship.

Personal history
Not much is known of Ernst's specific history.
He presumably rose through the ranks of the clergy in Warres, where The Church of Reorx has always held some sway albeit much less than The Church of Paladine.
The ascension of King Guster Sampala II spelled a resurgence of Ernst's church - the young king consumed with protection of profits, attempting to infuse some divine influence in his people's wealth.
Ernst was sent to Noor around one year ago, and quickly (and successfully) set to pushing Victor Baumann out of his esteemed position in the city.
Since then he has enjoyed an ever increasing congregation as profits have soared under the young king.
Education
Priests learn their trade in the Warres academies of the clergy, esteemed institutions well respected by the people. The two in the city are devoted to the disciples of Paladine and Reorx. Those who want to become priests study here for years. It isn't known what exactly their education entails - although it is well known that those in the worship of Paladine have some magical aptitude, particularly in the healing magics. The teachings in the academy of Reorx are much more mysterious.
