Testificates
Basic Information
Anatomy
“Testificate” is the encompassing term for a species of sapient creatures who bear a passing resemblance to humans. They are distinguished by their long, blunt nose bridges and pointed, almost deer-like ears. Testificates grow hair, but it does not come in as thickly as human hair.
Sexual dimorphism is minimal -- the only visible difference between a male Testificate and a female is the appearance of a bust on the latter.
The Testificate species is split into two racial groups: the Villagers and the Illagers.

Naming Traditions
Testificates will usually give themselves and their children names from Common or their Testif language. Giving names that are Testif corruptions of Common words are a typical occurrence, too.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Testificates speak their own language, called Testif. The two dialects are Villagerese and Illagerese, spoken by Villagers and Illagers respectively.
Many of them also speak Common, and witches know several magic languages.
