The Nether

You blink in the sudden darkness that greets you upon stepping through the portal. As your eyes adjust, the first thing they see is an all-encompassing redness: the glow of the Nether Sea refracting off the netherrack walls of the cavern. This land is not friendly to the overconfident... and the Piglins who call it home are even less so. The Nether has seen more than its fair share of war. Take care not to let it get another glimpse.

Geography

The Nether, at first glance, appears to be a massive cave system of Netherrack dominated and lit by the vast Nether sea, an ocean of molten rock. But much like the Overworld, the Nether is divided into biomes of its own, forests of giant fungi, valleys of soul sand, blasted basalt deposits, and wide valleys of soul sand. Certain regions are wastelands, destroyed by war and environmental cataclysms. Overall, the terrain can prove very treacherous and unforgiving for the unaquainted.

Fauna & Flora

The Nether's intense, sweltering heat make regular living here difficult for most life hailing from the Overworld. Nevertheless, an abundance of life flourishes in the land of fire and magma.
