Paiyatl is a marquis in the Vosti Empire, having married the Marquis of Skardel in 390 AC. Due to him being an elf, he is poorly liked by the broader noble community, but well liked by many locals.

Personal history
Paiyatl was born in Waal Paisheim, the second child of an influential political family. His parents had both been elected officials of some renown, as had his grandmother and aunt. It was widely expected that he and his siblings - his one older sister, and three younger siblings - would follow in their parents footsteps, or perhaps become judges.
To this end, all the siblings were given some of the best educations Waal Paisheim could offer, as well as the choice of where they might like to study abroad, in order to further their grasp of Vostan for use in politics. While many of his siblings opted to study at a prestigious academy in Telziad, Paiyatl instead decided to attend an academy in Vost. When asked his reasoning, he simply said it was "for fun".
Paiyatl's education, while good by all standards, was not easy. Numerous times while at school in Vost he was attacked, and he was treated poorly by many. A stand out amongst his classmates was the young Gloreon, Count Huvenston, who struck a friendship with the young elf. When Paiyatl returned to Waal Paisheim to celebrate his birthday, he invited his best friend to attend.
A year after their graduation, the two were married, to the shock of both Gloreon and Paiyatl's families. Paiyatl moved to Shonyul with his husband, and in 391 they had their first child, their second in 394, and their third in 399. The two became Marquis in 404, after the passing of Gloreon's mother.
Paiyatl has not ruled out pursuing a political career or even a role as a diplomat, but has remained committed so far to looking after his family.

Paiyatl has been married since 390 AC to Marquis Gloreon of Skardel, and through him is the only elf to be a part of the indirect royal family. He and Gloreon have three children - Payima, Astarion, and Zoyaseon. Payima themself is married to Baroness Yumi of Guarasi, the niece of Emperor Brimeon IV.
His family back in Waal Paisheim were rather well off, with a number of connections - it was through these that Paiyatl was able to study in Vost, where he met his future husband.
