“Mikey, stay with me!” Leo snapped when they nearly lost him in a crowd of particularly fluffy yokai. He grasped his hand, and Mikey squeezed it.
“Sorry, Leo,” Mikey smiled sheepishly. “But I can smell something really good.”
“Me too,” Donnie lifted his head, sniffing around and starting to walk. “It’s down that way.”
“Donnie, on the hunt,” Mikey whispered solemnly.
“Hey, at least he’s not hiding under pillows to pounce on it anymore,” Raph snickered.
“I was 6!” Donnie squeaked, blushing.
“You sort of did it last week,” Mikey said. “With that toast–”
“There it is!” Donnie plapped a hand against Mikey’s face to quiet him.
Synopsis
Splinter takes the boys into
Nanohana District to speak with
Lord Daigo about
The Shredder entering the
Yokai Realm. After the brunt of the conversation has concluded, the boys are allowed to go explore the yokai city on their own for a little while.
While out and about, they find a store selling odd trinkets and baubles, including
brooches with the ability to make
yokai appear human. The turtles realize something like that would be really valuable to have in the human world, but they realize they don't have the money to buy it themselves, so they decide to take on a delivery job. They job seems simple enough, until they realize they've taken a job from an Obariyon, a small piggy-backing creature that gets heavier the further you travel.
The obariyon would not leave until
Donatello the one who had turned in the request, took him to the other side of town. It was a task that he was ill-equipped to take on because of his soft shell, and eventually required the help of his other brothers to keep him standing. They were able to complete the task nonetheless and they earned quite a bit of gold for their troubles, which they used to buy their own cloaking brooches.
