Qetles (KEH-tulls)

Qetles (singular: Qetle) are a race of large slug-moth people who are known for their craftsmanship and engineering skills.
The Qetles originally lived in the Glass Desert and set up a system of apprenticeships to teach their skills and trades to new generations. When the Ur'gava settled in the area, the Qetles trained them as well and coexisted in new larger cities in Dumu.
The Qetles were instrumental in helping The Clergy build their empire as well, believing they were doing the will of a "higher force." But eventually The Clergy became abusive and forced them to build military weapons.
In a revolt, the Qetles moved east, settling in the Resht Desert southwest of the Long Mountains only to find themselves enslaved by different oppressors, the Desert Tirava until they were freed during THE TALE OF EPHIE.
