King/Queen
The king of Tirsolar is actually an elected position, much like a president or prime minister in other countries, however, at it's founding, Tirsolar decided to keep the title of King or Queen in respect to the other monarchies in the world. This position is the final say in laws, law enforcement, and how the laws are executed, however this is not a commonly used power. Most of the actual governing is done by the ruling bodies.
Prince/Princess
The eldest son or daughter of the current King. This is not a position of power unless something unexpectedly happens to the King, in which case the Prince takes contol of the country until an election can be held. Whether this be a matter of days in times of peace, or years during war, this position is temporary, and all decisions made by a Prince can be overruled by the next elected King
For trade, the Tirsolarans use normal land routes, including carts and wagons over a pre-established road system. For transit and sensitive cargo, there is a large network of interconnected teleportation circles spanning the globe that anybody can use, provided they know the destination runes, otherwise known as the address. Cities can also shut down these teleportation circles, or limit what addresses can teleport in during times of war. All cities with more than 5000 people always have a teleportation circle, and some cities with less than 5000 can have a teleportation circle linked under special circumstances. These circles require occasional maintanence, and citizens pay taxes that help pay for the maintanence.
The Kingdom of Tirsolar prides itself on its vast road network that connects all of the major cities, and a majority of the minor cities, and on keeping these roads safe with regular patrols during times of peace. During times of war, these patrols may decrease in less populated areas, and increase in populated areas as the army attempts to keep control of the country and it's major areas.
