Amarantha ap Leanhaun

Amarantha ap Leanhaun is a knight of Idyllrise and was, for some time, the city’s Marquesa. She is distantly related to Tiandra, the Summer Queen. She was one of a group of Adventurers who traveled to Blackthorn Castle in the Murkendraw to seek the defeat of Auntie Mengybone and to rescue Damarion ap Tythion, the missing Marquis.

She returned alone with a tale of having defeated the ancient Hag, but she was, secretly, under Mengybone’s control. She was given the title of Marquesa by the Eladrin of Idyllrise, who believed Damarion to be gone forever. As the city’s ruler, she was a puppet of Mengybone, doing the hag’s bidding in subtle ways, setting up the time when the Alabaster City would be pulled into the Murkendraw.

When the Fire Wasps rescued Damarion and defeated the hag, Amarantha yielded rule of the city to the Arch-Fey lord. Damarion took her back as a knight and made her his ward, grooming her to rule as his regent.
