Edele Padwyn

Edele Padwyn is the formidable Duchess of Ostralm, the western most third of Summerlund. She was the first wife of Hadyn Thonwyr, the previous king of Summerlund. When their marriage failed to produce issue, he divorced her, leaving her, instead, the rich lands of Ostralm as a parting gift between them.
She was known to be rather critical of the King and to oppose his offspring taking the throne. Since Hadyn passed, many believe that she will eventually make a play for rulership of Summerlund on the grounds that, as Queen, she should not have been put aside. Few know how such a civil war would affect the fortunes of Summerlund.
