Harvest Moon
On the 15th and 16th days of Aust, both moons of Tol, Kassyle the Golden and Davron the Blue, become full. This lends a warm light to the autumn night, and the folk of the Seven Kingdoms celebrate the two nights that have become known as Harvest Moon. These nights are usually still warm, and they are taken as days of rest after the long harvest season.
Harvest Moon is often used to coincide or climax the times of Autumn-time Faires. Music and dancing is always an important part of the celebration, as are games of skill and luck. A feast is always a huge component, as foods that can’t be stored or kept for winter are cooked and served. Traditional dishes include plenty of meat, as animals that won’t be kept over the winter are slaughtered and preserved. Others include dishes with apples, pumpkins, turnips, and other fall produce. These meals are often prepared and coordinated by local Halfling families.
