Kobold

Kobolds are a diminuative, reptilian race distantly related to both Dragon and Dragonborn. They were created by Tiamat to be creatures that would be able to move in the shadows and do the Dark Lady’s bidding. Many Dragonborn despise the suggestion that there are any connections between their races.
Kobolds make up for their lack of size, strength, and actual intelligence through being vicious and cunning. Many are spiteful little creatures who covet and envy what more powerful races have. They often find themselves pressed into service by more powerful creatures, especially evil dragons, whom they both revere and despise.
Some kobolds have broken from this situation, preferring to live near or among civilized races. In the great cities of Estwald and Gwyllan's Watch, for example, Kobolds have taken to maintaining and guarding the sewers and areas beneath the city.
