Lake Lavondys is a feat of
Eladrin and
Gnome joint engineering. The lake was created in order to service the town of
Zethamyr, which had grown up around the discovery of a thin spot back to the
Feywild. When the city of Zethamyr was destroyed in the
Second Witching War, there was little need for the Lake to continue, but it has remained, as the dams and panels that control its flow in
Shalamys are little understood any more. The area has become overgrown, and people shun the ruins for fear of more creatures from the Feywild coming through.
